Capsule Review: Despite an incredibly ugly "facelift" that was
recently administered to this site to give it a bland any-portal look, News.com still
keeps its finger on the pulse of Internet news. One of the quickest sites at getting
breaking news out. Stories vary in depth and quality of coverage, but are pretty good on
the whole. A testimony to the usefulness of News.com is the fact that it appears on my
"personal portal" (a page I put together to serve as the start-up page for my
browser) and I visit the site at least once a day. Highly Recommended!

Site: Wired News
Capsule Review: A source for slightly more "alternative" news
stories, Wired News offers a lot of insight into what's happening on the Internet. Stories
are interesting, sometimes controversial, and written in the slightly breathless Wired
style that you will either love or hate. Me? I love it...

Site: Newslinx
Capsule Review: A news aggregator rather than a content site, Newslinx
lists the headlines from dozens and dozens of publications. A great place to go for an
at-a-glance look at what's happening in the online world.

Site: InternetNews.com
Capsule Review: A rather hit-and-miss news service that offers occasional
reporting gems amid fairly bland, factual stories. Not bad in itself, but does not shine
out in a crowded news market.
